Zoë plays Charlie Hungerford, the whip-smart mother-in-law of recently widowed detective Jim Bergerac, in this reimagining of the classic 80s drama set in Jersey. Season one and two are streaming on U. Season three filming is underway.

Zoë joins this ITV crime drama as Zelda Radclyffe, the quirky aunt of criminologist Jasper Tempest. Season four aired on PBS in the US in 2025 and comes to the UK on 19 August 2026. Filming has finished on season five; season six is in the pipeline.

Baal to be screened at BFI

The BBC's 1982 production of Baal, in which Zoë stars alongside David Bowie, will be shown at London's BFI Southbank on 30 November. The screening is part of the BFI's Beyond the Fourth Wall - Experiments in TV Drama series, which celebrates television 'writers and directors breaking free from the conventions of naturalism'.

Baal breaks away from naturalism in order to allow the title character (played by Bowie) to address the camera at several points during the programme, an adaptation of Bertolt Brecht's play about an amoral artist-poet who destroys the lives of the unfortunate people who cross his path, including Zoe's character Sophie.

You can buy tickets for the screening on the BFI website. Only a small number are available, and so it is advisable to book early if you would like to watch this rare TV programme.
