Zoë plays Charlie Hungerford, the whip-smart mother-in-law of recently widowed detective Jim Bergerac, in this reimagining of the classic 80s drama set in Jersey. Season one is streaming on U; season two arrives on U and U&DRAMA on 16 April.

Zoë has joined the cast of this ITV crime drama as Zelda Radclyffe, the quirky aunt of Cambridge professor Jasper Tempest, who helps the police solve challenging murder cases. Season four aired on PBS in the US in 2025 and comes to the UK in 2026, while filming recently finished on season five.

Zoë discusses Christmas presents, seasonal songs and what the festivities mean to her

Zoë is a special guest on Hospital Radio Reading's Christmas Day edition of The Matthew Rolland Show, which you can hear online (the interview begins about eight-and-a-half minutes into the recording).

During her brief but lively chat with the show's host, Zoë explains that the best Christmas present she has ever received was a blessing with her husband, Gawn Grainger. She picks 'The Christmas Song', the new single by male vocal group Blake and Shirley Bassey (which is played directly after the interview), as one of her favourite seasonal tunes.

For Zoë, Christmas means 'peace on Earth and goodwill to all men'. I hope that all of her fans have a restful, enjoyable festive period.

It was on Christmas Day, 1999, that I first became a fan of Zoë, when watching her play the frightening Miss Murdstone in the BBC's brilliant adaptation of Dickens's David Copperfield. I can't quite believe that was sixteen Christmases ago - doesn't time fly!
