Production
In this television adaptation of Brecht's first play, David Bowie plays the amoral Baal, who works as an artist, singer and storyteller.  Roaming across Germany, Baal corrupts many of those who cross his path.

David Bowie released an album, also called Baal, of music from the programme.

Baal was recently screened by the British Film Institute as part of a season of short televised films.
