| Steven Pimlott, The Rose Tattoo's original director, sadly died in February. The production will now be directed by Nicholas Hytner. Set in New Orleans, The Rose Tattoo follows the troubles of the widowed Serafina delle Rose and her daughter, Rosa. Serafina, locking herself away for years, believes she will mourn her husband's passing for the rest of her life and fiercely protects her daughter's honour. When a garrulous Italian truck-driver asks for help, however, the widow is forced to reconsider her actions. | |
