Production
The life of the brilliant and, at times, controversial child psychoanalyst Melanie Klein is the subject of Wright's play.  Estranged from her daughter, Melitta, Klein instead confides in one of her most ardent supporters, Paula Heimann, until she too becomes disillusioned.  For the psychoanalyst, professional success comes at a price.
