Production
Prevented from realising his ambitions, Tom Wingfield is eager to escape the clutches of his mother, Amanda, and seek his independence.  By contrast, his sister Laura is timid and withdrawn, struggling under the weight of Amanda's grand designs upon her future.  After the arrival of a gentleman caller, Jim, the family's ties prove to be as fragile as the girl's menagerie of glass animals.

Notes
The New York Daily News called Zoë 'one of the truly great Amanda Wingfields'.

Zoe and Ben Chaplin received Olivier award nominations for their work on The Glass Menagerie.  Sam Mendes won an Olivier for his direction of the play.
