Production |
| Set in
nineteenth-century New England,
the play is a darkly comic account of the intimate friendship - known as a
'Boston Marriage' - between two society
ladies. The production, which revels in word-play, takes
place entirely in Anna's drawing room. When Claire
arrives with some unexpected news, the feathers begin to
fly. The musings of Catherine, a maid, provide some light
relief. |

Notes |
| Zoë and Anna
Chancellor discussed the premise of Boston Marriage during a
short interview broadcast at the 2001 Olivier Awards.
The following year, Zoë, Lyndsey Marshal, and the play itself were
all
nominated for Oliviers. |
After the production had transferred to the New Ambassadors, Zoe and Anna were
interviewed
again about the play, this time for Channel 4's Richard and
Judy. They also spoke
to Virgin.net about working on the show. |
